Dr. Kerner graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1981. He completed a podiatric surgical residency at Peninsula Hospital Centre. He co-authored a seminal paper on running injuries: A Statistical Analysis of Running Injuries, Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, 1983.

Dr. Daniel Zilberbrand is a board-qualified podiatrist and reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon. Born in Brooklyn, he completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at SUNY Geneseo. Dr. Zilberbrand then went on to receive his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2018. Subsequently, Dr. Zilberbrand went on to complete a rigorous 3-year PMSR/RRA accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency locally at Mouth Sinai South Nassau Hospital.
Dr. Zilberbrand has been fortunate enough to be trained in the newest surgical techniques and technology available including minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, radiofrequency surgery and modern biologics. He is a member of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is published in the Journal of Wound Care.
Dr. Zilberbrand brings a wide range of contemporary techniques and procedures to the practice with extensive training in wound care, diabetic foot care and limb salvage, management of traumatic injuries, sports medicine, and both adult and pediatric forefoot. Dr. Zilberbrand provides an intellectual and empathetic approach to podiatric medicine, treating not just the foot but the whole person.
In his spare time Dr. Zilberbrand enjoys watching and arguing about sports, playing tennis, trying new foods, and spending time with his wife and bull terrier.
